Our guest speaker was Ethan Rarick from the Little Hoover Commission. For those who do not know the LHC is an independent California state oversight agency. They “investigate state government operations and promote efficiency, economy and improved service through reports, recommendations and legislative proposals”. OK…that sounds as dry as unbuttered toast but it is a very interesting place and they operate alot like the Civil Grand Jury.
Mr. Rarick gave a small talk but it was mostly Q & A which was really great.
