Stockton Unified outlines safety plans: New check-in procedures, cameras and youth programs
The town hall came a week after Omlin and Franco presented the district’s response to the June San Joaquin County Grand Jury report. The report analyzed the safety measures in place at the 14 public school districts in the county, including Stockton Unified.

Stockton Unified disputes most findings in school safety grand jury report
Three months after its release, Stockton Unified School District penned a formal response to the 2022-2023 San Joaquin County Grand Jury report.
The 26-page report — released on June 13 — said that “more can be done” to keep students safe in San Joaquin County schools. The report analyzed the safety measures in place at the 14 public school districts in the county, including Stockton Unified.
