About Us

The Civil Grand Jurors' Association of California (CGJA) is a statewide association whose purpose is to preserve, promote and support the California grand jury system and the valuable role civil grand juries play in our democratic system of government.

On September 12, 2013 the San Joaquin County Chapter of the CGJA was created to complement the role for the benefit of county citizens through increased oversight regarding accountability and effectiveness of public entities including cities and special districts.

Purpose

We tell the story of the Civil Grand Jury and support their efforts each year.

Mission

We are a voice for accountability in government. In support of the civil grand jury through advocacy, education and communication.
